Get to know Danica Patrick
Raised in Roscoe, Illinois, IndyCar driver Danica Sue Patrick is a fan favorite on and off the track. She was named Rookie of the Year for both the 2005 Indianapolis 500 and the 2005 IndyCar Series season, and her victory in the 2008 Indy Japan 300 made her the first female winner in IndyCar history. What's more, she placed third in the 2009 Indianapolis 500, which was both a personal high and the highest finish by a woman in the history of the event.
Danica was recently named to the Forbes Celebrity 100 list, and is currently one of Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People.
